Antioquia and Caldas companies strengthen international projection at the AmCham Colombia business matchmaking forum

AmCham Antioquia & Caldas participated in the International Business Matchmaking Forum organized by AmCham Colombia, an event that gathered U.S. buyers and Colombian companies to strengthen commercial opportunities and promote the country’s export potential.

In this edition, the regional chapter supported 42 exporters from Antioquia and Caldas, with 30 representing Antioquia and 12 from Caldas. The sectors represented included agrifood, textiles and apparel, metalworking, cosmetics, and technology.

AmCham Antioquia & Caldas’ involvement focused on supporting companies linked to internationalization strengthening programs, fostering strategic connections with international buyers, and opening new avenues for business networking. Prior to the event, the companies assisted by AmCham received preparatory training, including reviews of their marketing materials, recommendations on how to prepare for meetings, and insights into U.S. business culture.

During the business agenda, the companies supported by the regional chapter held a total of 137 business meetings and participated in networking sessions with national and international business leaders and buyers.

According to figures shared by AmCham Colombia, the international matchmaking forum concluded with business expectations exceeding US$30.9 million and more than 1,200 business meetings conducted between international buyers and Colombian companies.
